Young's Travel Privacy Policy

Young's Travel (the "App") helps you read and translate menus and check travel information while traveling in Korea and Japan. The App has no sign-up or login, and it does not store users' personal information on its own servers.

1. Information we collect and process

• Menu photos: Photos you take or choose from your gallery are processed by OCR on your device only and are not uploaded to the App's servers.
• OCR and translated text: Text read from menus and sentences you type are used for on-device ML Kit processing and translation. A network connection may be used the first time a translation language model is downloaded.
• Reading aloud: When you tap "Listen", the text-to-speech engine installed on your device (for example Google or Samsung TTS) reads the sentence aloud. How that engine processes text follows its own policy.
• App settings and saved content: Language, travel area, favorites, study notes and order/trouble memos are stored only in your device's local storage.
• Exchange rates: When you use currency conversion, the App sends only currency codes to api.frankfurter.dev to look up the JPY/KRW rate.
• Latest travel information: When connected to the internet, the App sends a request to www.youngs.io.kr to receive the latest travel information. Access records such as your IP address may remain on the server. The request contains no personal information such as name, contact details or location. Tapping a website link in the App opens it in your device's browser.
• Mail and map links: When you tap to send an inquiry or review, what you wrote is passed to your device's mail app. Tapping a map button may pass the search term to an external map service. The App never sends email automatically.
• Emergency numbers (SOS): The SOS button only opens your device's phone app with the number filled in. The App never places a call automatically.

2. Google ML Kit metrics notice

The App uses Google ML Kit (based on Google Play services) for menu OCR and translation. Google may receive diagnostic and usage metrics such as API call statistics for performance measurement, diagnostics and abuse detection. This is API usage statistics, not the content of your photos or recognized text. The App does not upload menu photos to its own servers, but we inform you that such communication may occur at the ML Kit SDK level. 3. Third-party services

Google Maps, your device's mail and phone apps, and the frankfurter.dev exchange-rate service may open only when you tap the corresponding button. Please check each service's own privacy policy and terms.

4. Retention and deletion

App settings, study notes and memos on your device are removed when you delete them in the App or uninstall the App. Inquiries and reviews you send by email may be kept in the email account to handle your inquiry; if you want them deleted, please contact us at the address below.

5. Children and accounts

The App provides no sign-up or login and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14.

6. Changes to this policy and contact

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date on this page.
